GOD’S AGELESS AGENDA: KINGDOM REVEALED ii {06-06-11}

The word kingdom is a combination of two words- king and domain. The word could be referred to as King’s domain. The Kingdom of God is therefore, the King’s domain. It is the manifestation of the influence and authority of the king of ages. And the authority, dominion and influence of the king of Glory are sustained by His character and attributes. This perception and concept of the revelation and advancement of God’s kingdom is the basis of our faith in the Lord Jesus and the operational paradigm of our relationship with Him.

God is absolutely sovereign- He is the supreme divinity and Ultimate Majesty over all the beings in every realm of spiritual and natural existence. To this end, He does not require the help of man or any being at all to carry out His pleasures; as a matter of facts, before the creation of man, the whole earth functioned in perfect order and harmony. For instance, the garden was being moistened by the mists that sprang forth from the ground, and the entire universe blossomed under God’s direct supervision.

4 ¶ This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

 5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground;

 6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.

However, God, in His sovereignty chose to make man the centre of His divine plan and agenda: he was created to reflect His Image and glory, and bestowed an awesome authority on him to show forth His dominion in all the earth.  

Our most profound experience in life after our initial salvation encounter is our ongoing relationship with God; an experience that serves as a consistent communication vehicle that passes on the divine life into our inner-man. This constantly leaves us transformed into Christ Image with the implication of having the kingdom of God entrenched in us. The kingdom of God does not come by observation but rather it lies within us.

Luke 17

20 ¶ Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation;

 It is our continuous transformation experience that changes us into becoming reflections of the Glory of God and communicators of the Spirit of Christ. So, the kingdom of God is never revealed in the earth without our personal transformation. The awesome Power of God’s governing influence with which the whole of the universe and humanity are being driven all lie within the kingdom. It is the showing forth of the kingdom that will conquer all the enemies of the cross through the glorious church or company of God’s triumphant and spiritually matured sons and daughters. God is committed to grooming and raising folks whose lives are both testimonies of the accomplished work of the cross and reality of the crucified life evident by the fruits of the Spirit.

Psalm 110

1The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."

 2 The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!

Everything in this life will either be conformed to, or cancelled out by the kingdom of God. The kingdom is God’s standard for man, as well as the measuring gauge to the progression of our journey in the Spirit. If we respond to this clarion call we will definitely succeed in the sight of the Eternal One, but if we ignore the cry of the Spirit to follow this noble path we will lose the reward of reigning with our heavenly father in the coming age. This is the mind of Christ and God’s perfect will for all His children.

We must understand that the plan of God is for all things to be consummated in His kingdom; and also, His kingdom never comes until it is first of all established in us. The dominion of the king of glory starts from within us- reforms the inner-construct of our hearts, transforms our value-system, changes our attitudes, and then, we’ll be granted the divine approval to manifest the authority and power of His matchless kingdom that will close up this dispensation and open up the everlasting age.

Isaiah 9

6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

 7 of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
