Our High Calling is the definition of our purpose and the reason for our existence. It is neither fabricated by the brilliance of our human intelligence, nor as a product of our natural environment; rather, it is invented by God to fulfill His pleasure in us. Our High Calling is masterminded by God to restore His glory in the earth. It is initiated and pre-determined by the fore-knowledge of the Sovereign God.
Romans 8:
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. KJV
Romans 9:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? KJV
We are not a product of blind chance! It is absolutely fool hardy of man and arrogant of some scientists to have suggested that creation was brought to being by the so called the concept of evolution. The universe is God’s handiwork: It is His deliberate and intentional architecture designed to portray His glory and splendour. There is therefore no basis for aurgument about the existence of God, let alone the reality about the creation of the universe by God, the Ultimate and Supreme Being. Nature attests to the reality of divinity- the grandeur and inventiveness of the universe is an evidence to the excellence of His wonders- even, our human conscience witnesses to the awe of God’s greatness and power.
The mere fact that any individual could ever attempt to entertain the concept of evolution is a pointer to the extent of man’s fall. God is a God of purpose – He is a God of objectivity. He is also sovereign and supreme: there is nothing impossible for Him. He created the Sun, the Moon, the stars, the mountains, oceans, all the planets and constellations. He instituted times and seasons, and ensures everything is sustained by His universal laws.
Job 9:5-12
Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger. Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble. Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. Furthermore, man, that is, male and female, were appointed to supervise all His creations to ensure precision and sustain peace. Man did carry out His divine assignment with absolute sense of responsibility until they failed the test, then, lucifer took advantage of their lapses to plot their fall. Man’s fall changed the entire equations and everything fell apart. The sin system and regime introduces an era of death and decadence. Hence, every single thing in the world of man began to go through the process of corruption and decaying till the ultimate sacrifice of Christ’s death and resurrection broke the jinx of sin and grave.
Originally, God framed the heaven and moulded the earth to fit into His eternal plan and agenda, and subsequently, created man in His image and likeness to manage all His works and to maintain His order and objectives in the earth. Mankind became heaven’s diplomats and emissaries to establish the earth as heaven’s colony- to make the earth a replica of heaven.
